TieCon is getting bigger and better every year. This year Sony’s ex-Chairman Nobiyuki Idei, Ebay’s Meg Whitman, Vinod Khosla and several other luminaries spoke. Also it was good to catch up with friends in the valley.

Mr. Idei spoke about his vision for Sony and how his efforts at transformation fared ranging from the launch of Vaio to DVD Walkmans. Vinod focused on the green stuff. Meg Whitman on the innovation needs in Ebay. Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev presented – with an introduction from Microsoft India’s CEO Ravi Venkatesan. This one did not even have standing room. Impressive – I had earlier run into him on the elevator – seemed quite normal.
